the current configuration includes an ASUS AX5400 dual RT-AX820U paired with a 200 Mbps line. I’m limited to only 20 Mbps during downloads and have disabled the speed cap on my PC when downloading big files. I suspect there’s a built-in setting on the board, but I don’t want to experiment or risk damaging anything. I just plugged it straight into the router. The setup involves an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, a Super AMD Ryzen 9 3950 X16-core with 32 GB RAM, and a V850 power supply from ROG STRIX X570-F for gaming. Are you linked through WiFi or Ethernet? Have you turned on download speed caps? Do you pull files from sites/shops using high-speed connections?

Upstream location relative to the RT-AX82U. For testing, connect both devices to the same modem/gateway and run speed checks using speedtest.net, dslreports.com and fast.com with no other network traffic.

The download speed of roughly 20 in Chome/Steam/etc. refers to bytes by default. Internet usage is typically measured in bits, with 8 bits forming a byte. The capital letters are important here.
