You're experiencing some lag or freezing shortly after launching Metal Gear Solid 5. Let's troubleshoot this together!
Hi everyone, I recently purchased Metal Gear Solid 5 in December and I really enjoy playing it. I invested about 30 hours before launch to test the game, but soon noticed some issues. At first, strange visual glitches appeared in shadows or at night. Restarting the game usually fixed the problem, especially when I switched tabs. Later, after opening the game, it would freeze right after a few logos appear. I tried driver updates from Nvida, but the crashes persisted. Now, whenever I launch the game, it freezes shortly after opening. If I quickly skip ads, I might reach the main menu, but it still freezes before I can proceed. I've updated graphics drivers, reinstalled them, and even asked for help in numerous forums, including a troubleshooting thread here. Most replies suggested running it in admin mode or rebooting the PC. This is likely my favorite single-player title, so if anyone has a solution, please share it.
