I managed to get the display operational, though some problems remain. Initially, I adjusted the settings to focus only on the external monitor. After navigating through NVIDIA X Server Configuration, I adjusted the "Underscan" slider and returned to the left side. This altered the displayed resolution from 3072x1728 to 1920x1080. I then selected the revert option, which restored the original display configuration. You’ll see that certain parameters appear larger than the actual screen size—specifically, ViewPortIn and Panning show 60% more than the real resolution. On the ViewPortOut side, there are two values with a plus sign before them; their purpose isn’t clear, but they affect whether the resolution functions properly. They must match correctly for the display to work. The resolutions for both ViewPortIn and Panning seem identical. By moving the slider in basic view, I identified that the first number next to a plus represents width (default 1920) and the second represents height (default 1080). It turned out the order of these values doesn’t matter when determining the correct setting. For instance, adjusting to 1440x810 matched a known display size of 1440x1080. After returning to advanced mode, I confirmed that 1920 and 1080 paired with 240 worked. I reverted to the default and stayed in the advanced tab. The next phase is still pending in my next update.

I then worked out what 60% higher than a resolution of 1440x1080 would be, finding it to be 2304x1728. The numbers beside a plus sign were 240 and 0—240 matches 1440 and 0 matches 1080. I entered ViewPortIn: 2304x1728, ViewPortOut: 1440x1080+240+0, Panning: 2304x1728. However, this caused a problem because my dpi was too high and I wasn't sure how to adjust it. So I adjusted everything so the resolutions aligned and the dpi became acceptable. Switching to multimonitor mode fixed the issue, but in mirror mode it created an unusual overflow area. On my external monitor (4:3 aspect ratio), navigation buttons appeared fine, yet on my laptop screen the windows would spill over and not show up in the images I shared next time.

I'm still facing problems with Mirror mode. It needs to behave like Windows does on a 4:3 screen—normal look on the 16:9 display but with black bars on the sides when using the 4:3 mirrored version. I've tried a resolution of 1920x1440, but it didn't work even though I set the ViewportOut to that size. The DPI can't be changed, and I don't see the new Display settings in the Pop OS menu. I also noticed the settings don't appear in the correct resolution options. It's confusing how the monitor settings get reset after a reboot.
