always deleting the image file or turning on my computer would require me to reconnect my Ethernet cable occasionally—it sometimes works, other times it doesn’t

It seems the connection might be due to a misconfigured network setting. You may need to connect directly via a USB adapter. Also, verify if multiple IP addresses are assigned accidentally—your router might reject them. Try assigning a static IP and check if it resolves properly. Use CMD on your active computer: type "ipconfig" to locate the internet adapter and see its IP address (e.g., 192.168.X.X). Confirm the subnet mask matches the expected range. If unsure, adjust the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and test again.

You can adjust settings on either your router or your PC depending on what needs updating.

Incorrect subnet configuration. You need the final octet to be 0, while the second should be 0.1. That’s my error. I was focusing on the IP address during entry; I’ll correct that in my next post.

The issue might be related to your router since you're using a Xeon build. Check for any conflicts or interference from connected devices.

That doesn't seem important. Setting up a static IP should work fine.
