You're experiencing issues with downloading or re-downloading the game on Xbox Game Pass for PC?
I began downloading forza horizon 5 yesterday but stopped at 30% with plans to resume today. However, when I opened the Xbox app on my PC, the game wasn't listed in my downloads. During a re-download attempt, the game vanished from the menu after "preparing." Additionally, I lost 40 GB of space on my HDD from the 30% I downloaded yesterday. Anyone know where the Xbox Game Pass install location is for PC? I suspect the 40 GB might be causing issues with the new downloads. If not, have others faced similar problems and what steps did they take to resolve it?
It appears your operating system could be damaged. If you're using Windows 10, which version are you currently running? Check if the advice from this Reddit post assists you.
I doubt that it is a corrupt windows install. There are no other problems, and downloading other games are totally fine. But thanks for the suggestion!
I found a way to fix it! Just install it via the Microsoft Store. When you click the install button, it appears in the "manage download" window inside the Xbox Game Pass app, and keeps going from where you left off. If your game no longer shows up in the download list for Xbox Game Pass on PC, check the Microsoft Store and click download there.
