A couple of months ago, while playing Call of Duty, my mouse would occasionally freeze for a brief moment. When it thawed, it would shift to another location as though the mouse and inputs remained functional during the pause. All other components—keyboard, audio, visuals—worked perfectly, and I’m puzzled by what’s occurring. My computer also doesn’t produce the device disconnected sound, leaving me completely confused. Recently, I’ve begun playing first-person shooters again (Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty, and Helldivers 2), and it’s happening once more. The intervals between these freezes are unpredictable. I also noticed that a week or two ago, the RGB lights on my keyboard turned off automatically, even though I haven’t used any RGB software lately. I’ve changed USB ports and haven’t tracked when this started, as it can vary greatly—from days to weeks.

I’ve attempted various solutions: used different mice, switched USB ports, deleted unnecessary programs, cleaned the system thoroughly, and ran a full virus scan. Still, nothing resolved the issue.

Current system details:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon graphics
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB
- RAM: DDR4 32GB t-force
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 UD AC (BIOS version f2 y1)
- Power supply: 600w gold EVGA
- Operating System: Windows 11 x64 version 23h2 build 22631.5039 (Direct X12)

Keyboard: Razer Black Widow v3 TKL
Mouse: Razer Basilisk v3
Microphone: HyperX QuadCast S

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Power supply: 600w gold evga
EVGA offers several 80+ Gold rated PSUs, though most are around 650W, not 600. Could you share your PSU model and its age?
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 UD AC (bios version f2 y1)

B550 UD AC (rev. 1.2) Support | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global
Durable quality from GIGABYTE.GIGABYTE Ultra Durable™ boards combines innovative features and technologies to deliver the best performance.

If you're using f2 y1, the BIOS isn't listed on the support pages for your PCB version. Are you using a prebuilt PC? Or are you referring to PCB version 1.x with BIOS f2? If the latter, your BIOS may need an update.
Windows 11 x64 version 23h2 build 22631.5039 direct x12
You're also awaiting an OS update; you should be on 24H2.

Does the device use a physical connection or operate without one? Is this issue limited to gaming environments?

If it's a wired mouse, I might question whether your CPU's IF fabric frequency is excessive. Reduce your FCLK and see if the issue resolves.

this only occurs in games. I changed to my other mouse and keyboard, but nothing has changed yet. at this stage I plan to get a new one. it was strange because it kept happening whenever I used something related to Razer, but with a completely different set now it's fine. both are wired.

it doesn't occur when you switch to a different keyboard and mouse, as the problem persists with the original setup. i'm planning to replace them now.
