I have a 1TB hard drive that I used the day before installing Windows 10 perfectly. Suddenly it crashed, and I booted into another hard drive with Windows 10, but my original drive isn’t showing up. My assignment is still there—please upload it before I come to you.

Hello, welcome to the forum. I have some serious news: if your disk isn’t working and isn’t recognized by the operating system, it’s likely the drive is faulty. Make sure you back up your important files. Try checking the BIOS settings—if the disk shows up there, create a bootable Linux USB drive, as Windows might not detect it. If it doesn’t appear in BIOS, the hardware is probably dead. Also inspect the cable connections; loose or misaligned ones can cause issues. Listen for any unusual sounds or vibrations while the computer runs to see if power is reaching the drive.

I understand. If it isn't visible in the BIOS, it's likely not functioning. When it appears in the BIOS, use a bootable USB to perform a SMART test on the hard drive, which will indicate the overall condition of your drive.
