I'm planning to assemble the motherboard ASUS ProArt Z790-Creator but it only supports 3 PCI slots. I'm checking if the Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2, Sonnet Allegro Pro USB-C 8-Port PCIe card, and a 3 to 4.3 slot graphics card would work. P.S. the 4.3 slot fits the ASUS RTX 4080 Noctua GPU. I'm thinking ahead for future compatibility.

Riser cables are also worth considering—they might not be as compact as they seem. My microATX board has restrictions, so I’m limited to one x16 (video card) and one x1, plus one x4 with an x16 connector. If you open the case, you can insert it and run a riser. My Thunderbolt card fits in the x16 or x4 slots, but it gets blocked by a fan’s airflow. I’m thinking of using a fiberglass riser to move it further, but space is tight and I might need a long flexible one. Mounting it in the former 5.25 bay area could work, which would be convenient since I don’t have a standard front panel.
