I know this is backwards but i did not want to spend so much on steam by buying both games i wanted to try out 1 first and im enjoying last light alot it is pretty scary for me i hate jump scares but the plot and everything is great as well as the graphics. So should i get Metro 2033 now im only about 11 missions through last light.

It's 25 and you're not into the original version on PC. It performs poorly, acting like junk. Still a decent game but struggles to maintain 60fps even with high settings on a 4670k 780Ti. That title feels outdated—it looks like it's from five years ago. The new engine is much better, offering smooth performance and fresh content like DLC, new game modes, and expanded story. I promise Metro 2033 will improve significantly once the redesign is complete. Check out the comparison trailer for a taste.

I just had a thought. Metro 2033 is currently at 3.74. If you have it on Steam, the Redux version is discounted by half. That means you could purchase it and then buy the Redux 2033 for $12.50 instead of $25 on Steam. I don’t own the last light, but I might consider buying it for $5 right now.

I posted about it on the forums so everyone is aware. I managed to save eight dollars on the latest light redux. But be honest, don't try 2033 without using it as the redux. The engine is really tough to handle, even on my setup. Screen tearing and frame rate drops are common issues.

So dude, grab metro 2033 and snag both redux games at half price. 25 for the combo. Just bought last light and snagged the discount, so I spent about 17 on it. Edit: I’m not sure why this was shared. I didn’t post it.
