Hi everyone, I was assembling a PC for my mom using some old components from past builds. The only new parts were the motherboard and SSD. My RAM was Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) at 3200MHz. After finishing the build, it wouldn't boot and displayed a red DRAM light. I tried swapping RAM to the wrong slots (A1 B1) and it worked, but the system still showed the error. It seems to be functioning normally now, though I decided to update the BIOS and relocate the RAM properly. The red DRAM light appears again when I move it to incorrect slots, but it resolves once placed correctly. Anyone have experience with this situation? I'm a bit confused.

Have you experimented with a single stick? I understand it functions in the opposite channel, but for A2 level?

This was the only time I encountered this problem, which might explain why.

A2 and B2 function properly even with alternative RAM sticks (2x4GB).

This setup likely uses a board with slot A1 B1 and operates at 2133mhz. It probably matches a specific CPU model.

I faced a similar problem with my first homebuild. When both RAM slots were active (mITX, only two slots), I needed help from a friend. By testing one stick in each slot, we identified that one slot was faulty. It worked with any RAM in some slots but failed when a stick was placed in the specific slot. This confirmed the issue was with that particular slot.
