set up windows 10 completely, add every driver, apply all updates, run all your software on the SSD, install all your games on the HDD. create a full backup of your SSD using macrium reflect free, and if issues arise later, simply format the SSD and restore from that backup in about ten minutes—will it restore the same performance?

You must refresh all your drivers, Windows, and add any new software or games you install later. Updating Windows isn't the issue. It usually takes about 7 minutes on a computer with an SSD and a fast USB3.0 flash drive. The real challenge lies in managing updates, drivers, programs, and games. Windows can revert changes if problems arise—such as undoing virus infections, depending on whether the malware was delivered through malicious means or not.

I refreshed Windows three times within a day on a single laptop, which shows I sometimes want a clean setup. I also switched from Windows 10 to Windows 7 for an upgrade, then moved to Windows 10 again.

Generate a new picture every three weeks, removing the previous one. Produce four images using Marcium Reflect. Compress each to more than half its original dimensions. Your 16 GB Marcium Reflect free version fits well within your 42 GB Windows and program storage, allowing you to create many files on your 2 TB green SSD.

I've been there before. Macrium didn't fit my 850 Evo 250GB, which meant it failed to generate an image and made me overly confident in skipping the Windows setup.

The evidence captured will include everything that might have affected your PC during those three weeks.

macrium didn't integrate properly with your SSD. You made the image, but it doesn't support recovery. Even if your PC runs fine now, you should be cautious about restoring from it.

I attempted several methods, but creating an image for your system or recovering from an image isn't possible at the moment.
