Playing DOOM Eternal with some cheats on is a relaxing way to unwind after a busy workday, enjoying intense demon battles. This is my take on the question. I also enjoy Genshin Impact a lot, especially after the 4.0 Fontaine update. But I wouldn't suggest it to others mainly because it's a gacha game.
Here are some recent and classic titles you might like: Witcher 3 Outer Wilds Return of the Obra Dinn Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Elden Ring Subnautica Atrio: The Dark Wild Bioshock Infiinite Black Mesa Hades Stray Firewatch. These are just a few of the games I've enjoyed lately. Right now I'm mostly playing Elden Ring and looking forward to the DLC release.
Among the interesting picks is "What Remains of Edith Finch." It really moved me, even as a grown person. Spiritfarer shares a similar introduction. Mindustry is a solid factory-building game, and Dyson Sphere Program stands out. For mods, Archolos and Enderal are excellent choices for Gothic 2 and Skyrim, respectively. More broadly, the Witcher series and Fallout series are notable. Of course, there are also numerous small indie games to explore.
