I recently enjoyed horror games last week, but I discovered that Alien isolation is quite challenging for me (being a beginner, haha...). This week, I tried *The Evil Within*, and wow, what a surprise?? THE ASPECT RATIO?! REALLY??!! IS IT A LOCKED FPS??!!! What am I doing wrong?!! Sorry, I was really upset. I don’t usually like Bethesda, but I trusted this title after their YouTube trailers. I truly hoped it would be fun, so much so that I can’t stand 30 frames per second and the current aspect ratio. Why should I pay for a 21:9 monitor just to play this game? Zzz... I’m using a 16:10 screen and it’s making me lose my mind. A lot of people are working on fixing both FPS and aspect ratio issues. Thank you for the FPS improvements, but the aspect ratio problem is still a big issue. It’s just zooming the image to fit 16:9, which means losing a lot of the view. I can’t accept that. I’m wondering if anyone has a solution to get a proper 16:9 field of view? Anyone? Please, really... I have a lot of faith in this game. T_T

Ubisoft has also faced issues with frame rates, but their games remain solid in most other areas.

The game is entirely unusable, causing nausea.

Yeah... the main issue with Ubisoft's titles is the ending. Honestly. I broke my glass after finishing Assassin's Creed Black Flag. The only words that came out were "that's it?" Haha.

Yeah… I’m still unsure if I’ll keep playing this game. Can you say something about the story? It might help me decide!

However, you notice this game isn't Elder Scrolls, which means there aren't any specific expectations about how it should function, so they just follow standard practices from other developers.
