I'll give it a shot this morning when I wake up. Thanks for the advice, and I'll send you an update on the PSU information!

Alright here's the psu. I managed to sneak it out a bit but it's stuck and won't come out further.

This PSU computation doesn't make sense; it might be due to software or motherboard issues.

We had tried the software before and it worked without any issues. That’s why we initially assumed it was a GPU problem, since the CPU, memory, and overall system were all functioning properly.

I tried the 1070 with my PC and everything ran smoothly—no crashes, better GPU performance than my 3060 or 3080, and it never hit 100% usage. Temperatures stayed low and the graphics stayed solid even at high limits. It feels like the power supply might be the issue. My friend mentioned the minimum requirement for a 3080 is about 700W, with a safety margin of 750W.

gtx 1070 runs a bit slower than the rtx 3050. Not sure why, perhaps the hard drive is the issue—maybe switching to an hdd caused the lag.

And I along with my two tech friends considered it and suggested it could be the power supply unit. I ordered an 850w plated PSU to check if that would resolve the problem. He explained that the power supply is a crucial part of a computer. If it's not providing enough power, it can lead to issues like random crashes, unexpected restarts, freezing, video problems, total shutdowns, and the blue screen. This aligns with the problems we encountered, especially since both my 3060 and the new 3080 have similar issues. Could this be a viable solution? PSU?

RTX30 is known for its sudden power surge reaching up to 600 watts, likely exceeding the capacity of a 3080. This issue seems more pronounced during spikes. Unless your 3060 model shares similar specs, a low-quality PSU could be the culprit. https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/ If it struggles with a 3060, a faulty PSU might be the problem. With a multitester, you can test the voltage from your PCIe cable—high-end GPUs are very sensitive to fluctuations. If someone else has a PC, consider borrowing their PSU, especially if it’s low wattage or obscure. For a 3080 with 10GB VRAM, a 750W PSU is recommended (per NVIDIA & AIB). The card itself usually handles 300-350W, but the spike could still be an issue. GamersNexus covered this topic in a video (link below). A more efficient PSU might work if it’s well-built. Also, try uninstalling drivers via DDU in safe mode, reinstalling from a standalone source, and removing MSI Dragon Center if installed. After fixing the power issue, run a RAM test and keep an eye on your PC case temperature—especially VRAM heat, which can reach 95-100°C even with good airflow, potentially causing throttling.
