I recently purchased a computer that was already built about a year ago, and it came with a graphics card called 3060. It functioned well for a few weeks before problems began. Apps would crash, and the system would have trouble running properly. I tried fixing it by updating files, drivers, and software, but each fix only brought new issues. Eventually, I thought the problem was with the graphics card itself, which wasn’t working smoothly or allowing me to play games for long.

After that, I decided to stop using it. But recently, I bought a newer model, the 3080, reset the PC, and updated everything. It still faces crashes during games and BSODs, forcing me to restart. I’m frustrated because I don’t understand what’s wrong and need advice or help. My friend gave up, and now I’m dealing with this alone. I have some details about the hardware but no clear solution.

Windows 10 is currently the best option. It runs smoothly, uses less RAM compared to Windows 11, and you already have a GTX 3060, though the site lists it as 3080—possibly prebuilt with one stick. Dual-channel might not work if it’s not properly installed.

Use HWInfo64 or MSI Afterburner to monitor temperature and voltages during stress tests. Consider Heaven or Unigene Superposition benchmarks for performance evaluation. Verify the power supply included with your system, as cheaper options may not suit your hardware well. Examine the RAM setup—multiple modules are better than a single stick, even if it doesn’t directly cause your issues. Several helpful YouTube channels demonstrate these tests and provide troubleshooting tips in video format. Jayztwocents and Gamers Nexus are notable examples.

I recently purchased a 3080, as I intended to mention it earlier but wanted to clarify now. It used to be a 3060, but I upgraded to the 3080 after realizing it offered better performance.

It included two RAM modules; removing one would affect performance.

i have two ram sticks installed with the pc. we used msi together to check temperatures and voltages, everything looked fine. we attempted overclocking and underclocking, but the same problems kept happening. i noticed the temps spiked a lot when it ran at 100/99%, though he said that’s normal as long as it doesn’t reach critical levels. games like roblox, bloons, or civ shouldn’t crash frequently. the psu isn’t visible because the builders placed it in three panels at the bottom and didn’t provide details on it. should i try disassembling the pc to locate the psu, or is this not a major concern?

That's a joke about halving your bandwidth.

I can't send pictures directly. Could you share the image file or describe what you're looking for?

Here are some pictures you mentioned. As I discussed, I had the PC for around two months trying to resolve issues but couldn't find a solution, so I stopped using it for nearly six months. Yesterday I installed a new 3080 graphics card.

I believe you know how to detach the PSU, remove the glass, unplug the motherboard and GPU, pull out the GPU, take off the PSU from the back side, check the metal label on the PSU, and finally extract the PSU.
