As long as you refresh the BIOS when Zen 3 comes out and it confirms support, you should be okay. Keep in mind there are restrictions on the X470 such as PCIe 4 and similar features.

It's not guaranteed, you'll have to hope Gigabyte provides the BIOS update for it. MSI has promised to allow all future AM4 CPU's to run on their MAX series boards, so here's hoping from me...

Gigabyte is a reputable brand, reliable and committed to providing updates for Zen 3 support. They have the responsibility to release a BIOS update. Would you believe them if they didn<|pad|> to stop?
