I use mobile broadband with a 5G modem for connectivity. I connect my PC via Ethernet to the modem's Gigabit LAN port. When using Wi-Fi through an Asus AC3100 adapter, both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz networks offer faster speeds than my regular Wi-Fi. This performance difference is noticeable, with speeds roughly double.
The modem requires Ethernet ports for wired connections, while LAN1 and LAN2/WAN refer to different network interfaces or configurations.
