I use mobile broadband with a 5G modem for connectivity. I connect my PC via Ethernet to the modem's Gigabit LAN port. When using Wi-Fi through an Asus AC3100 adapter, both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz networks offer faster speeds than my regular Wi-Fi. This performance difference is noticeable, with speeds roughly double.

No, I'm not using an ancient Ethernet cable.

The modem likely features 100Mbps Ethernet connections rather than gigabit ones. After checking online, it seems to have gigabit ports. Probably the Ethernet cable caused confusion.

It appears the device supports Gigabit speeds, likely referring to Gigabit Ethernet as commonly abbreviated.

The modem requires Ethernet ports for wired connections, while LAN1 and LAN2/WAN refer to different network interfaces or configurations.
