The device requires a Wi-Fi connection to refresh the BIOS from within the BIOS using the new file on the thumbstick. Or was the update done through Windows? The process finished successfully?

Did updating the BIOS cause your internet to disappear? If yes, visit your manufacturer's website and install the latest BIOS for it.
