I've been using this PC for four years and never faced any Wi-Fi issues. About three months ago I started experiencing strange problems—especially when using Chrome tabs or playing games. The ping would jump from normal to 300, then spike to thousands, causing the connection to drop and slow internet speeds. Eventually I switched to a 10-meter Ethernet cable, but the issue persisted. I’m still trying to figure out what caused it.

Did you shift the PC or router even slightly? The Wi-Fi might be affected by nearby structures such as metal pipes, bathtubs, or closets. It could also be due to a recent change in the setup or a driver problem. Your friend's house has a wall that blocks the signal, with conduit running through it for the upper floors, which might be causing interference.
