Your Wi-Fi antennas seem to be having issues.
Hello, I recently purchased a new PC about two months ago. Initially, everything functioned properly after installing the two Wi-Fi antennas I received. However, my internet connection would frequently drop whenever I played online games or streamed content. At first, I assumed the issue was with my internet service provider or router, so I contacted them and everything seemed to be operating correctly on their side. All devices connected smoothly with minimal issues, except for my PC, which would experience around 300 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds. During gameplay, especially in titles like CSGO or RDR2, my ping would spike above 5000 and cause disconnections. Interestingly, the problem persisted in browser-based applications and lower-performance games such as ROBLOX. I later removed the antennas, which improved connectivity overall, but I still faced slow downloads and higher ping in certain games. Eventually, I turned to Amazon to buy replacement Wi-Fi antennas. After installing them, the speeds remained stable, yet when I started a game like RDR2, my connection would suddenly drop. I considered possible causes ranging from RDR2 itself to Steam, and even tested other games with similar issues. It’s puzzling since I haven’t encountered any discussions about this exact scenario online. It seems my internet appears to work normally until I run demanding tasks on the PC. Although Ethernet could be an option, I don’t have the funds for it right now. I’d really appreciate any advice or insights from someone who might understand what’s going on.
You should follow the instructions provided with the installation and check the relevant sections for guidance.
This indicates strong signal quality; the problem likely lies elsewhere. Share your speed test outcomes using fast.com. Wait for completion, then open the details, let all gray values fade to black, and submit your findings. Hide your location and IP for privacy.
I performed a couple of trials and achieved approximately 250 downward movements and 10 upward ones.
I’d still appreciate the outcomes, as I was mainly interested in your performance during high load.
Install PingPlotter, configure it to test a standard IP like 8.8.8.8, adjust the time range to 30 minutes or an hour, and let it operate in the background. It will display latency trends and help identify irregularities. You can launch another session on a different device using its local IP address to determine whether the issue lies within your local network or elsewhere on the web.
