I purchased this RAM model, https://www.newegg.com/corsair-32gb-ddr5...QXZEX0J3RQ. I’m curious about its compatibility with my AMD build. My friend mentioned it’s designed for Intel XMP but says it won’t work on my AMD motherboard (MSI Gaming and WiFi Ready) and my Ryzen 5 7600X.

Generally, XMP memory functions well with AMD and EXPO memory performs equally with Intel.

They'll shift to the more flexible DOCP option that's built-in with most current RAM modules. No. It's mainly due to AMD and Intel splitting their "platform-optimized" DOCP approach. Purchasers aren't always experts right away—be gentle with them.

It should work as long as the sticks appear in your board's QVL list. You can verify this on the manufacturer's website under support, and even if not listed, they usually function properly.

You're not required to purchase items from the QVL list.
