War Thunder offers a rewarding experience even without spending money, delivering hours of engaging content. However, the challenge intensifies as you progress to higher levels. The monetization model might feel like a pay-to-win system, allowing purchases that upgrade your vehicle and move you into tiers with more experienced players. Still, certain premium vehicles perform exceptionally well within their respective tiers.
It's about the value and experience you get. Some prefer paid for better quality, while others enjoy free options for different reasons.
Most games don't feel very enjoyable. My top picks are the $60 single-player campaigns, classic titles like Call of Duty, Halo 1-3, Stray, Spec Ops, and Space Marine 2011. The issue often lies in the balance between income and monetization versus what I enjoy about a game. That's why I tend to prefer closed paid experiences.
Many players talked about Destiny 2, I’ve been wanting to play it for ages and just got it recently. So far, the gameplay feels a bit like Cycle. I’m surprised no one else mentioned it before—I think it’s a nice shift from typical loot-collecting shooters. Instead of just gathering items, it focuses on earning materials or completing specific contracts. You don’t have to finish the contracts you agreed to in the lobby; you can skip them after dropping. When meeting other players, you both have options—either work together or go after their goods. It’s a cool idea!
Only six hours for sixty dollars... Haha, I bought the deluxe edition a long time back and barely reached the final boss in the campaign... still haven’t started Ancient Gods yet.
