They generated attention at CES 2014 when they announced it because the initial promise was that it would match the price of the PS4 and X-bone. Many expected a model around $400, but the final price ended up being $550. What caught my interest was the USB controller dongle attached to the 360 controller—it occupied a standard USB port. It looked like they didn’t plan to embed it directly into the device, which felt somewhat outdated. Regardless, complaints are likely, but if you value a stylish PC in this size, finding an alternative in that price range will be tough. There’s still no consumer option offering a console-style ITX chassis at this scale. Most ITX cases are rectangular, so even though I appreciate the BitFenix Prodigy look, it wouldn’t fit under a TV, and many agree with that view.

The most affordable option isn’t necessarily the most expensive. The higher the quality, the more costly it becomes.

I think the issue is because it was designed to work with the steam controller and steam OS, but that option wasn't available. Now they just add a 360 pad and a custom operating system—yeah, there are some? Like RVZ01 case Aerocool QS101 Antec ISK, etc., and a few console-style cases have fixed it.

Created by Alienware, this product stands out as more than just top-notch laptops but comes with a high price tag and a lot of OEM components.
