Hello, I just set up my new computer with Windows 10. Occasionally the screen freezes and I have to press the power button to shut it down. When I try to turn it on, it shows a message that Windows can't boot. After restarting, it works fine. Sometimes while running Ryzen Master I see a D3 error and the system restarts. I don’t get a blue screen. I haven’t updated my BIOS even though it says I’m using the latest version. I only did one overclock on the RAM. It’s currently running at 3600MHz at 1.39v, with the CPU at around 67°C during 50% usage. (I never exceed 50%). How can I resolve these D3 errors and the screen freezing issues? My system details: CPU – AMD Threadripper 1900X, Cooler – Noctua NH-U9 TR4-SP3, Board – Gigabyte X399 Aorus Pro (Rev 1.0), RAM – G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz 16-19-19-39 (4 sticks, 64GB total), Storage – Samsung 970 Evo 500GB (two drives, 1TB total), GPU – MSI Ventus 3x OC 3070 (Studio driver), Power Supply – Corsair RM850X, Case – Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic, Fans – 6 units (3 intakes, 3 outlets). Software – Windows 10 Pro. I’m new to building and a bit nervous, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Taking into account that your PSU is 550 watts, I recommend either upgrading the PSU or disabling overclocking. If turning it off doesn’t resolve the issue, your PSU may not provide enough power for your system’s RTX 30 series requirements, which need at least 600 watts to function properly.
I checked the details, and it looks like your PSU is 850. That's correct.
