I just saw a friend experiencing the same problem as his PC—an Am4 5600X with 32 GB DDR4 RAM at 3000MHz and a 1 GB 3070 Ti SSD. He’s planning to install PoolMon and capture a screenshot of it.
I’ve considered using the Intelligent Standbylist Cleaner tool. It’s not something I’ve tried before, as it often gets labeled as a quick fix for boosting FPS. While it has some benefits, clearing the cache usually isn’t needed in everyday use. I wondered if the problem lies in how it writes to the page file during cleanup. Running CrystalDiskMark on your page file drive might help verify its behavior.
At this stage snake oil might be exactly what I need, honestly. It feels more suited to situations like this. I’m sure I’m in agreement—clearing your cache definitely sounds like it could waste a lot of cycles, maybe just a couple frames per second if they’re that important. If they really matter, overclocking RAM would make sense. I’ll definitely try the crystal disc version.
If it isn't functioning properly, yet the CDM appears quite standard.
Everything looks good on the drive. The RAM problem persists, but my computer works fine enough for streaming now that I’ve added the standby list cleaner. Thanks! But just like a doctor, we’ve addressed the symptoms now—I need to find the root cause and resolve it. Lol!
Now it's causing my games to be unstable I think now too because holy do my games crash so much more now.
It might be an issue that isn't obvious from this check. It doesn't seem to indicate storage problems, but I haven't found any clearer explanations.
There seems to be a chance to increase visibility, but you might need to share again.
