Your system and compressed memory are consuming excessive RAM.
each time i launch my system it consumes over 400 megabytes. when i tap on the task and select open file location it displays the program named ntoskrnl.exe
It's a kernel, which usually means avoid handling it. I believe you should be okay unless it hits 90%, then there might be problems.
Hello everyone, I’m here to revisit these issues. The main concern is the high CPU usage—averaging around 33-35%, sometimes reaching 46%. I’ve searched everywhere without finding a fix. I’m getting quite frustrated because the process consumes a lot of CPU even when the PC is just turned on. I discovered that disabling compression in Chrome might help, but it doesn’t always work. I attempted to run the command "fsutil behavior set disablecompression 1" in Windows 10, but it didn’t resolve the problem. I checked for outdated drivers (chipset, audio, LAN, graphics), but they all seem up to date. My page file is set between 1912MB and 2048MB. In Settings > System > Actions and Notifications, I disabled "Show tips about Windows" (though I’m not sure if that’s exactly the option). Right now, with my 4690k processor at 4.6GHz and 8GB RAM, it’s still a concern. Please let me know your thoughts!
