A carpet dont seem like that bad of an idea to stop the glass shattering into a million pieces As for taking all the glass out just take the gpu out and start violently shaking the pc to get all the shards out, the shards that remain are unlikely to cause any issues and you can continue to use your pc as normal Also that case is a hotbox with no airflow so no shit your temps are so bad, you definitely dont wanna run a sidepanel on that thing, consider swapping the case out for something with proper airflow or just keep your current case as is with no sidepanel
Interesting. It's reassuring knowing I'm not putting myself in danger. As someone who tends to be lazy, moving to a new country this summer means I'll have to handle things on my own. I plan to keep the current setup until I arrive and then purchase a replacement case. That should save me 20kg of luggage. My past experiences with Thermaltake are rocky—I once asked for a cooler bracket and they only sent a new CPU cooler if I covered shipping costs from Asia, which were more costly than the actual unit. I’m unlikely to get a free replacement sheet of glass, but I’ll give it a shot. How do you go about cleaning out the PSU? Are you referring to the fans? I assumed opening it would be risky, but it definitely sounds different when the panel is on or off.
