Are your CPU performance issues leading to frequent FPS drops in games such as AC Origins when running at ultra settings?

It relies on the chosen resolution. In any case, you shouldn't experience FPS drops.

The GPU is the issue. Ac origins puts a lot of strain on the whole system, particularly under high settings.

Joined PC gaming - as @Jurrunio mentioned. Lowering the settings to High would make the game appear similar yet run more smoothly.

I noticed the graph shows the CPU causing big fluctuations in FPS while the GPU stays steady, never dropping too low. It seems like the GPU might be handling the heavy lifting for ultra settings, but the CPU struggles to keep up.

I tested everything and everything functions as expected or better than expected. I saw something online suggesting 1070 is overkill for 1080p, but probably not true at all.

The game provides a consistent frame rate, though performance may decrease at higher resolutions or with intensive settings.

Check if it's just one stick of RAM and see if the processor is getting too hot.

One RAM stick of 3000MHz for a 3000MHz CPU works well with 71C. It runs smoothly at ultra settings, achieving 55-60 FPS in jungle and some urban areas. In places like Alexandria, Krodial, Memphis, FPS drops are noticeable during certain stages.
