Hey there. Over the past while, my monitors have been shutting down and can't restart. The PC keeps running but the screens don't... it used to happen occasionally, now it's almost daily. What might be causing this? I've already removed and reinstalled the graphics drivers, but it hasn't fixed anything. My system details: CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GPU - ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070Ti, Motherboard - MSI B550-A, RAM - VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 16 GB DDR4 3200MHz (x2), Black water cooler, SSD - Cooler Master ML240L V2 RGB 240mm, KIOXIA-EXCERIA G2, 1TB T-FORCE TM8FPL1000G.

What kind of displays are available? Are there any adapters needed, and should we try switching the cables?

I removed the monitor drivers and reinstalled them, and everything appears to be working now... Previously, I only needed to disconnect one monitor for both devices to shut down and stay off. Now it seems normal again. If this happens again, I’ll let you know, thanks! No adapters required for my monitors: AOC G Line 2nd Gen 27" Curved 240hz LG 27MK400H-B 75hz.

You're talking about the drivers for RGB lighting software, possibly trying to fix an issue with Windows updating it.

I received the file from my monitor brand's site and updated the driver in Windows Device Manager.

It occurred once more after some time has gone by, yet the issue remains unresolved.

Are they HDR displays? It raises a thought if the HDR could be malfunctioning because of a GPU problem. I haven’t experienced my setup turning black like that before. Try removing the newest GPU driver and reinstalling it directly from Nvidia’s site, rather than using GeForce. That seems like a possible solution.

I align with @One Angry Soldier and would reinstall the graphics drivers. Use DDU to disable the Nvidia drivers, then install the updated ones while disconnecting the computer from any internet access to stop Windows from auto-installing.

I experienced a problem with the Display port shutting down, and I couldn't turn my screen back on. Restarting the PC was frustrating. After some time, I don't recall what I did to resolve it. I considered bringing it up because it seemed similar to other issues I've faced.
