I’m really stuck and unsure what to do next. After repeatedly changing the RAM speed—from 3200 to 3266 then to 3400—I reached 3400 and saved, but the screen went blank. When I tried BIOS access, the cursor wouldn’t move and arrow keys didn’t work. I turned it off and on again, but the display isn’t functioning. I’ve tried reseating RAM, checking the CPU, testing each slot, using a CMOS jumper or battery, but nothing helped. There are still red LED lights indicating CPU and DRAM issues, and the fans are working. I’ve given up on this problem.

The configuration includes an R7 3700x processor paired with a B550 Asrock Phantom gaming system. It features 4 GB of DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz, 16 GB of storage, and a 1 TB SSD. The graphics card is an Evga 80 Plus Gold series model, and the power supply is a 650W unit.

When you reset the CMOS, did you turn off the power switch on the PSU, hold the power button, then discharge it before briefly shorting the CLR CMOS pins for seven seconds? If this doesn<|pad|>, it might indicate a failure, possibly in the RAM or CPU—though I’m unsure if altering the frequency would cause damage. What voltage are you using?

I reset the CMOS while keeping the power on, connected the device without pressing the button, and accidentally shorted it later. The voltage was around 1.3 volts.

1. Gather your materials: a paper clip.
2. Locate the reset button or option on your device.
3. Press and hold the paper clip in a specific way until the reset prompt appears.
4. Confirm the reset by following any on-screen instructions.
5. Wait for the device to restart and confirm functionality.

Let me know if you need further details!

Disconnect the PSU, hold the power button on the front panel for five seconds. Find the clear CMOS pin (usually at the bottom right) and touch it briefly with a screwdriver or conductive object for five seconds. After reconnecting the PSU, power it on again.
