Every time I power up my PC after shutdown, I need to navigate to the time settings, disable auto-update time, pause the process by closing the settings app, then restart it and it displays the right time. If I rush the process without waiting, it only loads briefly and fails to adjust correctly.

The computer's age might be a factor, as the CMOS battery could be draining.

Completely fresh setup, I assembled my new PC about two months back—how could it be?

I don't have a memory of installing Windows, but I can guide you through the process if you'd like! Let me know how you'd like to proceed.

I made several changes to my setup over time. First, I installed a new hard drive and cloned the old one onto it. Later, I added an SSD and cloned that to the SSD, making the OS run there. Eventually, I transferred both drives into my new build and encountered issues. The system asked me to reactivate Windows, which led me to purchase a low-cost Windows Pro key from eBay. It’s definitely frustrating.

It looks like you're referring to a CR2032 battery. You mentioned observing something unusual when you take it out.
