I own an ASUS ROG Strix B450-F gaming motherboard. I currently run an R5 3600, but after moving from a 1080Ti to a 3070Ti I upgraded my CPU to the R9 5900X. Ideally I wouldn’t want to change the board, but if I’m forced I’ll go ahead.

The motherboard is compatible with the 5900X, though you may need to upgrade the BIOS. Asus provides clear guidance here: https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog...pdesk_cpu/ Be sure to follow the update steps precisely if you decide to change it.

These VRMs aren't well suited for a 12-core or 24-core CPU on this board.

It's about someone who fits well, but avoid trying to force things for the sake of characters or harsh testing.

I intend to replace the current motherboard and add more RAM later.
