PC specifications include a Ryzen 7 1700 CPU, GTX 1050 Ti GPU, A320M Pro-VH motherboard, Corsair Vengeance LPX 8x2 DDR4 3000 RAM, 256GB SSD, Cooler Master Master Liquid Lite 120 AIO, and a Corsair VS 450 PSU. I've tried various adjustments, but overclocking in BIOS only reduces performance further. Changing the CPU multiplier to 37 locks it at 80% usage (3.18 GHz), which seems counterintuitive. The default settings at 100% usage with 3.18 GHz are the most stable, yet I'm puzzled about the limits. Additionally, HWMonitor reports over 10% usage per core, while Task Manager shows constant 100% utilization. Someone can help identify the issue.
Have you experimented with disabling PBO? Also adjusted other options to improve performance? I haven’t used the A320M or that chipset before, though it should be similar. I’m new to first-gen Ryzen machines.
Many people find HWINFO64 unreliable and often give incorrect readings. Your performance seems poor, possibly due to outdated hardware. The motherboard might not be suitable for your setup. Running at auto voltage with a multiplier could harm the chip. Your processor quality is likely significantly reduced.
The A320 chipset features an 8-core Zen 1 processor... honestly, I wasn't too surprised by that.
