The performance is decent but limited. The motherboard is basic, likely preventing the 5600X from running smoothly at normal speeds. The VRM components are overheating and throttling to avoid damage.

Consider a system update to resolve persistent issues. Adjust the manual all-core frequency multiplier to 45, set the vcore to 1.25v, and configure the LLC to a moderate setting. Ensure TDC, EDC, and power limits are configured at 4096, 65535, or similar values. This approach effectively removes hard limits, allowing the CPU to run at a stable 4.5GHz while reducing idle power consumption. The changes will stabilize performance without locking the system to a fixed frequency.

I took out the fans and wiped them with a paper towel. When I removed the processor fan to clean it, I noticed the thermal paste was fully dry, so I replaced it and reinstalled it. After restarting the PC, it didn’t start properly, so I reset the BIOS and it began but now only runs at 1GHz or less. I’m unsure what to do next.

It seems your PC reaches a maximum temperature of 50°C, which could indicate overheating from the CPU or GPU.

I’m curious—did you disconnect the PC from the power supply while working? It’s possible you might have caused a short circuit. Since you didn’t make any adjustments in the BIOS during cleaning, there’s nothing further to address that way.
