Hey everyone, I'm really struggling right now. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600x, RTX 2060, and a bunch of other components. I recently upgraded in September, but I've been facing extreme heat—temperatures reaching up to 99°C during intense games like Apex Legends, BF5, TF2, etc. I've tried everything: CPU undervolting helped reduce the heat, but it caused performance issues and crashes. Now I'm at a crossroads with no clear solution. Any advice or alternatives would be greatly appreciated.
I tried the Cooler Master Hyper 212 with an airflow case, and everything worked well. There seems to be an issue with the cooler itself or the PC case, possibly both.
While the system is active, both hoses connecting the PUMP to the radiator are hot. You should notice the vibrations and hear the pump operating inside the radiator. This cooler features a layout where the pump is integrated into the radiator itself, often positioned at the top of the case. Make sure the pump isn’t located at the highest point of the loop. The current idle temperatures seem normal. Is your motherboard running the most recent BIOS?
I'm with aDoomGuy. Add the stock cooler and check if it helps. If it works, you can choose whether to go after the wraith or switch to a new cooler. If not, you've at least ruled out one option. My setup uses a 5600x around 80°C with a Noctua U12S, but I've also placed it in a Fractal Define C mini inside a cabinet and used old thermal paste—so I understand why it's not performing well.
At first, I had no clue about your situation. From the initial view, it seems your setup might be lacking in cooling and airflow. Consider adjusting the fans or switching to a case that offers better airflow.
