I discovered compatible alternatives like Gravit Designer and Akira on Linux. @Chunchunmaru Remembered a bit of bash coding from earlier, maybe I’ll revisit it someday.
Thank you all for your valuable input on this subject. I enjoyed the forum and the supportive community. Gravit Designer resembles Affinity, though it offers a "Pro" version as a subscription at $100 per year—cheaper than Adobe, but still a recurring fee. I’m likely to concentrate on using Pop!_Os and Ubuntu. Once I master it, and possibly soon I might develop my own Linux-based design tool.
