Hello guys, I bought this RAM Kingston Fury Beast 3733MHz DDR4 16GB for my system but for some reason i cannot make it run faster than 3200mhz. Tried XMP profiles, both 3733mhz and 3600mhz one, but without success, ram just reverts to 2400mhz. Also tried setting it manually in the bios, but it didn't worked (worked only up until 3200mhz). With the EasyTune app from gigabyte app center i managed to get it to 3460mhz but i would get Status Access Violation crash on my browser pages. Motherboard in my rig is B550M Aorus Elite, and the cpu is Ryzen 5 3600. And btw this is a single stick of RAM.

XMP is an Intel technology, generally functions well with AMD though occasionally it may fail. Attempt to operate at 3000 or slightly raise the voltage.

Your RAM voltage is currently configured at 1.35V. Adjust it slightly upward to ensure stability, as this will affect the VCCIO and VCCSA settings.

I can operate at 3200, but I’m curious why the speed isn’t increasing. After all, we expect fair value for what we receive.

I attempted to raise the voltage but had no success. After applying it, the PC starts up and then restarts 2-3 times before booting normally at 2400MHz. Additionally, I couldn’t find the VCCIO or VCCSA settings.

They are Intel-specific configurations only, absent from AMD platforms. The sole memory controller voltage found on Ryzen 3000 models is the SOC voltage. Typically, you should configure it at 1.15V and maintain that setting, as it optimizes around 1.1V to 1.2V. For CPU stability, avoid exceeding 1.2V in that range. Regarding RAM placement, it should be installed in slot 2 on daisy-chain AM4 boards; using slot 1 or 3 may lead to booting delays surpassing 3200MT/s. Slot 4 is functional but generally less optimal than slot 2.

As mentioned by Ronothan, I'm sorry for not understanding the AMD settings since I haven't used one since my FX8350. Follow their suggestions, and you might get better outcomes.

It might seem unnecessary but have you changed your BIOS after installing the new RAM? Although the Kingston Fury RAM is relatively recent, the kits may function without a DOCP Profile (AMD) or XMP (Intel). Updating the BIOS to the newest version ensures compatibility with all available RAM modules. I faced this issue about six months ago; a client upgraded his RAM and the DOCP Profile failed. I advised him to update the BIOS, and it resolved the problem effectively.

After inserting the stick into slot #2, I adjusted VSOC to 1.15 and selected 3733MHz. It functions properly. Thank you!
