Hello, I recently upgraded my RAM with an extension for my 64GB 5600MHz 32x2 setup. My existing sticks were 32CL and matched the new ones. When installing, the RAM automatically down-clocked to 4000MT/s. I attempted to enable XMP in BIOS, but whenever it was set to 5600MHz, the system would randomly display a blue screen—each time with a different memory error. Occasionally, the PC wouldn’t power on and instead showed an error-blue screen for troubleshooting. Currently, my RAM is 128GB with 4000MTs, but it doesn’t reach the advertised speeds. I own a Z790 processor with an i9-14900KF, and I believe the issue lies with the CPU. Could you help me understand why?

DDR5 performance isn't optimal with four drives; advertised speeds are essentially an overclock, functioning best when two slots are used.

It depends on the technology available when the product launches. If a solution exists, it suggests that high-end streamers use faster frequencies. If no option appears, it means each streamer with sufficient storage runs at 4000MHz.

It's feasible at 4800Mhz, though using all four slots might limit performance. Running all four DDR5 sticks at full speed could reduce their value over time—consider returning them if you don’t need them anymore.
