I own an HP Prodesk 600 g1. At first purchase, with 8GB of 1333MHz DDR3 RAM, issues started when I tried to boot the computer normally. I unplugged it and spent about two hours troubleshooting. I disassembled the machine, replacing every part I thought might be faulty—even though I was familiar with its internals. After some time, it finally powered on but didn’t boot. I heard a series of five beeps and went to HP’s support site for guidance. When I saw it might be the RAM, I tried swapping in another stick with matching specs. It worked this time, but I was still confused. Later, I discovered the second RAM channel wasn’t functioning properly, even with the correct module. Now I’m seeking advice on what steps to take next, especially since I don’t have funds for a new motherboard. -Hydraruns 9:58am

I hadn't considered that, so I'll give it a shot. I replaced the CPU during my initial troubleshooting when it wouldn't power on, which might mean a faulty contact on the CPU or motherboard. Since I discovered a bent pin in the motherboard, fixing it could be difficult given my limited time now.

I remember Linus faced problems with RAM when the CPU mounting pressure wasn't set correctly on one of his projects. A weak or improper connection might be the cause.
