I'm setting up a new PC for the first time and facing issues with the RAM not fitting properly. The motherboard I'm using is the Rog Strix X670e-E gaming Wi-Fi, and my RAM is an AMD Expo Trident Z5 Neo RBG 6000 DDR5. Could you assist me?

Doesn't match the orientation of the DIMM in either direction? Please share a picture of a DIMM placed directly in the slot. Also, can you provide details about the technical label on one of your DIMMs? (Make sure we’re not swapping DDR4 for DDR5.)

DDR5 demands significant force to install, you’ll notice a distinct click. Apply pressure on each side using your thumbs (it may need considerable effort). Verify that the slot in the motherboard aligns properly with the socket.

According to page 46, yes. It seems you may need to apply some pressure, but they simply go straight through.

I just received it and had to exert a lot more effort than anticipated—it didn’t just drop in, but I managed to get it working. Perhaps my initial panic during the first build led to spending over $4,000 in total.

It's clear the DDR5 installation put a lot of strain on the board, causing noticeable flexing.

The most recent DDR4 project I worked on was quite challenging as well. The change in having clips placed on just one side significantly raised the insertion pressure.
