So on the 7th of May I upgraded my RAM to Corsair DDR3 1600MHz CL9 from G Skill F3-1600C9Q-16GAO. After installing the two new sticks, everything worked smoothly. I had purchased just one pack of two on April 30th. I swapped out two old RAM modules from four and placed the new ones in slots 2 and 4. Initially, there was a mismatch but the system ran fine. Then on May 7th I bought another pack and installed it without issues. The PC performed well until today. I woke up to see the PSU light flickering on and then off. I tried turning it off and back on, which gave the same result. Eventually I removed all four RAM sticks and reactivated the PSU. The standby light stayed on. I decided to reinstall the RAM but the motherboard didn’t boot at all. After removing everything, I tried two sticks, then one stick, even using the old RAM. Cleaning the contacts and CPU cooler didn’t help. I cleared the CMOS, but that didn’t resolve it. I re-seated the CPU and cleaned the pins with a soft brush, but nothing worked. It seems either the CPU is faulty or both motherboards are defective. My PC is an open build, I’m on a budget, and I can’t afford a case right now.

Consider testing the older RAM to check for any issues, or use BIOS flashback if your system allows it.

Use only a single RAM stick for operation.

Can't revert to bio versions; motherboard can't handle it without a post. Tested with just one stick of RAM.

RAM might be the issue, possibly because the RAM units don't function together or simply since the CPU isn't compatible with it.
