I own a ready-made Legion T530 APR28 and I'm thinking about swapping the motherboard, but Lenovo seems to have restrictions—like requiring original cables or PSUs—that could block me from doing so.

When connectors and pin configuration match standard specifications, any ATX power supply will function properly. (In most cases, standard connectors imply matching pin layout, unless otherwise noted)

Examine the power supply connectors. If they match the standard, you'll find one with 8 pins and another with 24 pins attached to the motherboard.

1 pin module for the motherboard, ½ pin or a mix of 4 or 8 pin CPU sockets, plus understanding that the motherboard might offer connectors; standard MB and connectors resemble this.

The Lenovo MB includes these features. You might be considering a switch for various reasons.

You're interested in upgrading the CPU, but you're unable to do so with your existing motherboard.

I see no reason for this to not work, worst case you will have to remove everything and assemble the PC back with the Lenovo MB
