Hi, your setup looks correct for running benchmarks. The BIOS and some tools recognized it as an Intel i7-3770 at 3.4 GHz, but Windows identified it as an Intel Xeon E3-1290 v2. Cinebench R20 showed the Xeon but reported a lower speed (3.4GHz) instead of 3.7GHz. Geekbench flagged the results due to timing problems. The issue seems tied to the processor swap and possibly memory configuration, though the motherboard specs and RAM type don’t seem to affect it.

You may need to reinstall Windows for accurate CPU reporting, though I wouldn’t bother. CPU-Z provides the correct information. The details in its Specification section are pulled straight from the CPU itself. If it lists a Xeon processor there, you definitely have one. Verify the Cores and Threads—CPU-Z should display 4 Cores and 8 Threads. Should there be an issue, open msconfig, go to the Boot tab, select Advanced Options, clear the processors count box, and restart your PC so Windows can resolve the problem.

I’ll definitely give it a shot tomorrow. What puzzled me was how various tools gave conflicting information. The bios and cpuz correctly recognized it as a Xeon and displayed it at 3.7Ghz, yet the Windows version labeled it an i7. Cinebench says Xeon but at 3.4Ghz instead of 3.7, while Geekbench identifies it properly when launched, though after the test it flags timing issues and marks the test as invalid. So multiple programs are giving different results, and I’m unsure what’s happening or if it’s actually functioning correctly.
