My top choice is open-world because there are so many activities once the story and DLC are done. I’m looking forward to Fallout 4 to deliver something new.
Story is what really matters to me. I care more about the narrative than the genre. Whether it's Fallout, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, Heavy Rain, Call of Duty or anything else, I love strong storytelling, compelling characters and great voice acting. I tend to enjoy more interactive experiences like Fallout or Metro rather than turn-based games.
Survival Horrors are what I enjoy most, but they need to be executed perfectly. They should force me to pause before starting, or else they won’t feel truly terrifying. Competitive games with a bit of strategy are great, and sometimes a well-timed joke can bring a smile while still delivering a good laugh.
