Hi, welcome! You're setting up a new ASUS prebuilt PC with an i7 10700, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 1TB HDD, and a 300W 80PLUS Platinum PSU. You're thinking about adding a GPU but notice it lacks an external power connector for your graphics card. I heard the RTX 3050 6GB model doesn’t need one. Let me check if that works with your system.

It should function if you have a PCIe port free. However, it’s a poor investment; you’d gain significantly more speed by upgrading your power supply and using an RX6600 chipset (provided you have the right board). It’s not worth it for just a bit more cost.

Show me the mobo and the PSU ^^ If they're standard, just swap the PSU and you'll have a proper GPU. A $300 should cover a used 6700XT or 6800, depending on the PSU upgrade (~$50 for a decent 650/750W bronze unit or an older 850W+ RXM/equivalent).
