I'm curious about how well that 2080 would perform with a Ryzen 5 3600 and 16GB DDR4 RAM at 3000MHz. It should handle next-gen titles like AC VALHALLA at high settings and Dying Light 2, especially in 1080p at 60fps. This setup is likely to stay solid for quite a while before showing noticeable signs of slowing down. Just wanted to share some general thoughts on its lifespan. Thanks!

performance hinges on the game and its optimization, along with Nvidia's drivers. This question will always return "wait and see" when asked about future compatibility

What is this? It's definitely a 2080 SUPER.

At 1080p60, the 2080S feels excessively powerful.

It's an excellent GPU, capable of handling 1080p at 60 frames per second for a while. It's impressive to see such a powerful model in that form!

It looks like you're asking about a simple question, though you mention not being very familiar with PCs. I understand you're planning to upgrade soon and are excited about getting a 2080 resolution in the next few weeks. You'll be playing at 1080p without a 4K monitor or 1440p setup, but you're hopeful this setup will last for at least four years.

It seems you're suggesting that games similar to AC might lack good optimization.

I'm really excited about it because I can't wait for AC Valhalla and Dying Light 2—I'm just not able to resist!

Choosing 1080p for extended use usually means you'll be looking at a lifespan beyond five years. This model is primarily built for 1440p gaming.
