Currently what RAM you possess is important to know. While a 4000 MHz RAM could technically fit, it isn't assured and might require some effort to get it functioning properly. What are your current specs? Knowing this will assist us in determining whether the upgrade is worthwhile.

For instance, Intel X99 and Broadwell-E/Haswell-E chips reached their peak around 2666MHz. Purchasing 3200MHz or faster RAM was usually unnecessary due to higher costs. The same applies to Ryzen 5000—significant improvements up to about 3600MHz exist, but beyond that performance can drop unpredictably. Sometimes gains appear, other times it actually slows down. It's generally not worth the extra expense and hassle. Review RAM scaling tests for the Z490 at 10900K; you should find relevant information confirming whether it's a good investment. Personally, I don't see value, especially since RAM speeds can be very high but come with poor timing. Alternatively, look for the best possible timings at the highest feasible clock within your budget to get optimal results.
