I was using my computer and when I opened more programs it triggered a BSOD. The message mentioned the kernel and the PC froze on the gigabyte display after resetting. I attempted to boot into BIOS but had no success. Even disconnecting the hard drives led to a BIOS boot. I need assistance figuring out why the system remains stuck on the gigabyte screen with the disks. My drive model is GA-A320M-S2H.

It might be that Windows is malfunctioning or the system is experiencing problems. Begin by turning off your power supply (if you have a desktop PC) and holding the power button for a short time. After that, turn on your PC and see if the issue continues. If it does, try launching Windows in safe mode first. If not, consider resetting the BIOS. Remember to place your boot drive at the top of the boot order list.

I resolved the startup issue. The HDD appears to be faulty, which explains the problem. It was just a BSOD, so it shouldn’t block booting while connected. Thanks for your response—no noticeable change before or after.

If starting from the Windows installation isn't working, I suggest making a Windows recovery USB and attempting to fix the partition issue. Are you using an older drive? It might be failing, which can be confirmed with the S.M.A.R.T. tool built into the device. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to that information without Windows.
