It seems the update wasn't noticed. The 8GB RAM works, but the GPU is causing problems. Performance feels lacking compared to what I expect from an i5. My Redstone setup runs smoothly, which is surprising given the specs. It really depends on what you're looking for with an i5. If you need i7 speed, you'll be disappointed with this i5.
Experiencing sub-60fps on my i5 with minimal settings matches what the op reports. It seems the CPU is limiting performance because it runs at full capacity while the GPU stays around 65% during gameplay. After switching to an i7, GPU utilization climbed to nearly 100%, which boosted my FPS significantly.
I share the same CPU as OP, but it doesn’t cause issues in BF1. I can play at ultra quality at 1080p without any problems. It must be something else affecting performance. My earlier setup had a Skylake i7 with a 960GB SSD, which didn’t support BF1 well.
It seems VRAM usage is the main issue, so upgrading to a new GPU might help. Are there any adjustments you can make that use less VRAM without sacrificing performance? Also, one curious observation is that after installation, your game ran smoothly at 61 FPS with at least 58 FPS, even under heavy load like 64 players or intense scenes. But later it started dropping below that.
In this scenario, the GPU is connected via RAM, linked to SSD storage, and powered by CPU.
